Chris Mead is originally from New Jersey and went to college for animation and 3D design in Philadelphia to pursue his dream of becoming a professional artist. After graduating, he worked at two different companies creating designs and illustrations that catered to a variety of clients that included the sign, toy, candy, and consumer products industries. He worked with teams that created everything from initial concepts and models to finished graphics on packaging and signage for retail stores. 

After relocating to Maryland in early 2004 to pursue a position in video game development, he landed his tattoo apprenticeship later in the year and has been doing it ever since. 

Working with artists and shops in different parts of the country has allowed Chris to explore various styles of tattooing and design to help shape his style of work. He feels fortunate to be able to work with such talented people and looks forward to continuing to grow as an artist and tattooer.
